The Kenya Simulation Network (KSimN) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the field of medical simulation in Kenya. Established in 2023, KSimN brings
together healthcare professionals, educators, and simulation specialists from across the country to share knowledge, resources, and best practices.
Mission
KSimN’s mission is to foster a collaborative environment that promotes the effective use
of simulation-based medical education (SBME) in Kenya. We aim to:
a) Enhance patient care: By equipping healthcare professionals with the skills and
knowledge gained through simulation training.
b) Improve healthcare education: By advocating for the integration of SBME into
healthcare education programs across Kenya.
c) Support simulation centers: By providing resources, promoting quality
standards, and fostering collaboration among simulation centers.
d) Advance research in SBME: By facilitating collaborative research initiatives to
evaluate the impact and effectiveness of simulation training.
e) Promote simulation accreditation: By exploring pathways for accreditation of
simulation centers in Kenya.
